The Spa at Shear Ego is seeking a professional client-oriented, licensed massage therapist who loves helping people feel their best. We’re looking for a team player who has experience with a variety of massage techniques, is deeply committed to creating a positive client experience, and accustomed to treating a variety of physical conditions and creating individualized treatment plans.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform 35, 50, and 80-minute Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal massages in a professional and comfortable setting
- Analyze client current needs and creating a treatment plan
- Ensure the room is cleaned after each treatment and at the end of each shift
- Remain compliant with all state regulatory boards in regard to intake forms and waivers
- Promote Spa/salon services and sell retail products
- Providing a positive experience for our clients from the moment they walk in the door.
- Educating clients on lifestyle changes to improve their health
- Practice and follow all Department of Professional Regulation policies and procedures, including all sanitation and hygiene standards, as well as maintain a clean, professional environment at all times
- Perform general Spa duties, as needed
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid current New York State license
- At least one year of experience
- Certified by a credible massage therapy school
- In depth understanding of anatomy and movement in relation to soft tissue manipulation
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and positive energy
- Evening and weekend availability a must (Part-time and Full-time positions)
